Constructed for the brand new Sea Captain Resort on the Bay in Clearwater Beach, this aquatic center is a monumental commercial pool and spa complex designed to serve as a flagship amenity. The project is defined by its expansive scale, multi-stage water features, and a highly sophisticated, commercial-grade equipment matrix, ensuring a luxurious and reliable guest experience.

The main pool offers immense area for guest use, measuring 47’ long by 40’ wide with a safe, uniform depth ranging from 3’ to 4’ . The large, 15-foot diameter circular spa provides a dedicated hydrotherapy haven.

Custom Features: The pool includes a large sunshelf for relaxation and resort-style lounging, numerous LED water geysers for dynamic water movement, and a stunning center waterfall feature.

Central Spa Focal Point: The spa is highlighted by a distinctive Rain Fall feature mounted in its center, which provides a calming, cascading water element for guests.

The pool’s finishes were chosen to project a bright, contemporary, and cohesive coastal aesthetic:

Interior Finish: The pool and spa utilize PebbleQuartz white with blue accent , a durable quartz finish that creates a sparkling, light blue water color that mirrors the clear tones of the Gulf.

Deck and Coping: The entire area is unified by high-performance Concrete Pavers by US Paverscapes in Ice . The use of a bright, light-toned Ice color ensures the deck stays cool under the intense Florida sun. The pool and spa edges feature matching concrete paver bullnose coping for a clean, safe, and contemporary transition.

Waterline Tile: A crisp visual line is established by 6×6 solid, light blue tile from Aquabella at the waterline, providing a subtle accent that complements the pool’s interior.

The system’s complexity is managed by a multi-pump, multi-filtration commercial setup, ensuring peak performance and optimal water safety:

Specialized Pumping: Five distinct pumps are used to manage the various zones: a PENTAIR 3HP WHISPERFLO XF Variable Speed for pool circulation; a massive Pentair EQKT-1500 15HP pump dedicated to the main water features; a StaRite Max-E-Pro XF Variable Speed 5HP for spa circulation; a Pentair EQKT-750 7.5HP pump for the high-powered therapy jets; and a Pentair IntelliFlo I2 3.95 HP for the special Rain Fall feature.

Dual Filtration: Water cleanliness is handled by separate filtration systems: a large-capacity Pentair TR-100C Sand Filter for the pool and a CCP320 Cartridge Filter for secondary or spa filtration.

Commercial Safety: The pool is heated by a powerful Hayward Universal ASME 500 Natural Gas Heater for rapid temperature changes. Water chemistry is precisely maintained by a commercial-grade Hayward CAT2000 PP controller with redundant Hayward 45m5 and 45m2 Stenner pumps for chemical injection, ensuring public health compliance.
