Custom pool builder in Clearwater Beach
The aquatic center at the Sea Captain Resort on the Bay: a 47′ × 40′ pool at a flat 3 to 4 feet, a 15-foot circular spa with a rain-fall fixture mounted over its middle, and five separate pumps to run it all.
What we built in Clearwater Beach
The work behind this page: Sea Captain Resort on the Bay.
Sea Captain Resort on the Bay
Built for guests, not a family. The main pool is 47 feet by 40 and holds a uniform 3 to 4 feet so it works for every swimming ability. Alongside it, a 15-foot-diameter circular spa with a rain-fall feature over the center. The pool carries a large sunshelf, LED water geysers and a center waterfall; the interior is PebbleQuartz white with a blue accent, the deck US Paverscapes concrete pavers in Ice.

Commercial water, not backyard water
Five pumps, split by job: a Pentair 3HP WhisperFlo XF variable speed for pool circulation, a 15HP Pentair EQKT-1500 for the main water features, a Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro XF 5HP for the spa, a 7.5HP EQKT-750 for the therapy jets, and a Pentair IntelliFlo i2 for the rain-fall fixture alone.
Filtration is split too — a large TR-100C sand filter for the pool, a CCP320 cartridge for the spa side — and chemistry is held by a Hayward CAT2000 PP controller with redundant Stenner injection pumps, because a pool the public swims in has to prove its water.
Questions about building in Clearwater Beach
Do you build commercial pools?
Yes. The Clearwater Beach project is the aquatic center for the Sea Captain Resort on the Bay — a 47′ × 40′ main pool at 3 to 4 feet and a 15-foot circular spa, with commercial filtration and automated chemical control.
What is the rain-fall feature on that spa?
A fixture mounted above the center of the 15-foot circular spa that cascades water down into it. The main pool alongside carries LED water geysers, a large sunshelf and a center waterfall.
How long does a pool take to build?
About eight weeks once HOA approval and permits are complete, depending on design complexity, weather and material availability. After the pool is filled we run 28 days of startup maintenance while the interior finish cures and the water chemistry balances, and every pool we build carries a 5-year workmanship warranty.
