Snell Isle — Bay Point
About 40 feet long by 16 wide, with an infinity edge that runs the water out to the horizon and floating steps for entry. A 6′ × 6′ spa sits on top of a larger sunshelf so it cascades into the pool. The deck is US Paverscapes Mega Slate in cappuccino and brown, against a PebbleSheen Aqua Blue interior.

Venetian Isles — pool and spa
A 25′ × 15′ pool with a 7′ × 10.5′ sun shelf and a 7′ × 7′ spa on a canal lot. The build ran stage by stage — excavation and dig, layout and steel, plumbing roughed in and pressure-tested, shotcrete, then the electrical — with each phase inspected and signed off before the next began.

Shore Acres — elevated pool and spa
Raised above grade. The pool is 24′ × 9′ and the 6′ × 5′ spa stands another six inches above the deck, carrying four hydrotherapy jets and a fully tiled beam. The homeowner already owned a Pentair variable-speed pump, so it was integrated into the new system rather than replaced and the rest built around it in Jandy.

Building elevated, in a flood zone
From our own write-up of this build: “Building elevated in a flood zone adds complexity, but when it’s done right, the result is a pool that not only meets code — it looks like it was always meant to be there.”
The structure stands on a raised paver deck with black metal railings and a stairway down to the yard. The interior is Wet Edge Signature Matrix in Caribbean; the deck and coping are 6×12 ivory travertine.
Questions about building in St. Petersburg
Can you build a pool that is raised above grade?
Yes. The Shore Acres build in St. Petersburg is elevated: a 24′ × 9′ pool with a 6′ × 5′ spa raised a further six inches above the deck, built so the finished structure meets code on an elevated lot.
Do you build on canal and waterfront lots in St. Petersburg?
Two of the three builds here are on the water. The Venetian Isles pool and spa sit on a canal with a dock behind the yard, and the Snell Isle pool runs an infinity edge on a waterfront lot in Bay Point.
Will you work with pool equipment I already own?
On the Shore Acres build we did. The homeowner’s existing Pentair variable-speed pump was integrated into the new system; the 150 sq ft cartridge filter, TruClear salt system, VersaTemp 130,000 BTU heat-and-chill pump and RGBW lighting are Jandy, run by a Poolside Tech Attendant Mini.
How long does a pool take to build?
About eight weeks once HOA approval and permits are complete, depending on design complexity, weather and material availability. After the pool is filled we run 28 days of startup maintenance while the interior finish cures and the water chemistry balances, and every pool we build carries a 5-year workmanship warranty.
