What we built in Gulfport
The work behind this page: Pasadena on the Gulf.
Pasadena on the Gulf
Built for jumping in. The pool runs 40 feet by 20 and grades from four feet at the shallow end to eight at the deep, with a natural-look Rico Rock jump rock as the focal point. A dedicated feature wall carries CMP BrilliantWonders LED sheer descents — lit sheets of water that move and change color after dark. The interior is PebbleQuartz with blue accents; the surround is Flagstone Victory pavers in cream and tan with matching bullnose coping.

Eight feet at the deep end
Most of the pools on this site top out around five or six feet. The Pasadena on the Gulf build goes to eight, which is what makes a jump rock possible and the pool genuinely usable for diving.
That depth change is why the surround matters. Warm-toned Flagstone pavers in a cream and tan blend, picked to be non-slip and to stay sun-reflective where wet feet land — and the classic light blue of the PebbleQuartz interior was chosen to complement those warm deck tones.
Questions about building in Gulfport
Can you build a pool deep enough to dive into?
The Gulfport pool is 40′ × 20′ and runs from four feet to eight, with a Rico Rock jump rock giving a platform over the deep end.
What equipment runs the Pasadena on the Gulf pool?
A full Pentair suite: an IntelliFlo3 1.5HP pump, a CC150 cartridge filter, an IntelliChlor IC40 salt system, an UltraTemp 145,000 BTU heat pump and IntelliBrite Architectural Color LED lights. The only other brand on the build is CMP BrilliantWonders, whose LED sheer descents make the lit sheets of water on the feature wall.
How long does a pool take to build?
About eight weeks once HOA approval and permits are complete, depending on design complexity, weather and material availability. After the pool is filled we run 28 days of startup maintenance while the interior finish cures and the water chemistry balances, and every pool we build carries a 5-year workmanship warranty.

Pool terms used on this page
General definitions — these mean the same thing on any build. Each one points at where it appears in the work above.
- Sheer descent
- A wide, flat sheet of water falling from a raised wall into the pool. The feature wall on the Pasadena on the Gulf build carries CMP BrilliantWonders LED sheer descents, so the sheets are lit from within after dark.
