Azora at Cypress Ranch
The longest pool on this site: 25 feet by 64, grading from 3.5 feet to 5.5. A 25′ × 10′ sunshelf runs the whole shallow end, wide enough to hold in-water furniture. In place of conventional coping the perimeter is fitted with custom spillover grates, so the water reads level with the deck. The interior is PebbleQuartz with added blue accents, the waterline 6×6 cobalt blue by Noble Tile, the deck Shellock 12×12 in ivory.

No coping — spillover grates instead
Nearly every other pool in this portfolio ends in a coping stone. This one ends in a grate: the perimeter is fitted with custom spillover grates so the water meets the deck without a raised lip, which is what gives it the perimeter-overflow look.
At 64 feet it is the longest pool on the site, and the sunshelf along its shallow end is wider than several of the backyard pools here are long.

That is what the Azora at Cypress Ranch pool was designed to do. It runs 64 feet with a gentle slope from 3.5 to 5.5 feet for people who want to swim, and a 25′ × 10′ sunshelf along the whole shallow end for people who would rather sit in the water — wide enough for in-water furniture, and shallow enough to keep an eye on small children from.
How long does a pool take to build?
About eight weeks once HOA approval and permits are complete, depending on design complexity, weather and material availability. After the pool is filled we run 28 days of startup maintenance while the interior finish cures and the water chemistry balances, and every pool we build carries a 5-year workmanship warranty.
